I joined Aptitude Fitness a few weeks ago and have been made to feel super welcome. Amy is awesome and loads of fun. It makes working out so much more fun and unlike so many other classes isn’t intimidating. I couldn’t recommend her enough, and will be going 2/3 times a week in future.
I have been going to Amy's bootcamps for a few weeks now, I was nervous at first about going because of my fitness levels. I really enjoy the sessions, everyone is friendly and I felt welcomed. I would highly recommend whatever shape or fitness level you are.
Attended boot camp for the 1st time this morning. I have been following this page for a while and if it wasn’t for a friend suggesting I tag along I think I would have still been sat on my sofa on a Saturday morning in my PJ’s contemplating going for another few weeks and watching other people get fit! I’m so glad I took the plunge. I haven’t attended a gym or fitness class for over a year after I damaged a ligament in my knee so I worried I may be lacking behind but Amy lets you go at your own pace but gives you plenty of positive encouragement, corrects you and gives you ways to improve the exercise. I lost my father during the lockdown to COVID-19 and a combination of grieving and anxiety has driven me to comfort eat and I’m the heaviest I’ve ever been (excluded pregnancies) but I’m determined today is the start of my new healthy way of life. It’s true what they say, exercise is great for your mental health, I felt good doing something for me and I hope I finally get a good night sleep tonight. My legs may feel like jelly and I may be aching in muscles I didn’t realise I have but it feels great and I can’t wait to come back next week. 💪🏻 Thanks Amy, you are a great feel good person, you have a lovely daughter (you’ve trained her well with sanitising the equipment) and you won’t realise it but your class has changed my life for the better
I have been going to Amy's bootcamps for a little while now. To be honest not my idea of fun but needed to get my fitness up. However, everyone I have met who attends is what I would call a ‘real’ person, no swingy ponytails and skinny Lycra cladding! We have a good laugh, everyone is so friendly and non judgemental. Amy is great, encouraging and keeps us smiling.
After 3 months of trying to find people to train with I found a post on Facebook for aptitude fitness with Amy Very professional and super fun I know I’m gonna feel it tomorrow 😆 Amy is very Encouraging and u def feel pushed I am already booking a 10 sessions I am HOOKED.

I have been training with Amy at bootcamp on a Saturday and weekly personal training sessions for the last two months and it has been amazing! I always said ‘I’m not a gym person’ and the idea of going to the gym made me stressed and worried. But having sessions with Amy and other girls has been so much fun! I never would of thought I could do sit ups or press ups and I have managed to do 30 press ups and 45 sit ups in my last two sessions with Amy. I feel so much more confident and I can already visibly see the changed to my body. I now have the confidence to give things a go and push myself to achieve goals I’m setting and she is setting for me.
This woman is the most down to earth human being ever. You feel embarrassed that youve eaten an entire cheesecake in one? No need. Feel worried that you ate a share bag of Doritos as your only meal of the day? No shame. This woman is the most real woman you’ll ever find to train you. She knows the pressures and stress of the world we live in and she gets it. Amy is encouraging and motivating to a level I didn’t know was possible from someone in the fitness industry. She has undergone her own fitness and wellbeing transformation and she knows how hard it can be. Her bootcamps are so so much fun and she coaches you through every move, taking the time to make sure you’re doing it perfectly. These bootcamps are for EVERYONE at EVERY LEVEL you won’t regret a class with amy.
I thoroughly recommend Amy. I have been having PT sessions with Amy as well as attending her bootcamp classes over the past year. With Amy’s motivation and encouragement my fitness level has improved dramatically. She is a tough trainer, which is what I need but is also aware of my limitations. I come away from each class feeling like I’ve had a proper good workout.
I’ve always done some form of exercise in the past but in the last 2 years have been diagnosed with COPD (a degenerative lung disease) and so have struggled with being able to breathe as well as with my weight gain. Amy doesn’t treat me like I have an illness and still pushes me but is very mindful as to what I can and can’t do, I have been training in her ladies boot camp for about 5 months now and she has become more of a friend than a trainer. I also attended a 3 day fitness weekend away in September last year climbing Sugar Loaf Mountain !!!! Highly recommend Amy Pope - I will hopefully be with her for many years to come. Plus I’m doing another 3 day-fit camp this month and I’m nearly 60. If this young lady can do ALL of this for me - what can she do for YOU??
I loved boot camp � Amy is really welcoming, motivating and explains things well. Classes have people of all ages, shapes, sizes and abilities and most importantly everyone has a good giggle along the way!
